Making Pizza Peels

So, typically I make pizza peels for friends that just want a nice handmade pizza peel to use in their pizza oven or their normal oven. So my buddy (and tattoo artist) Craig Foster and I got to talking after I saw one of his Instagram posts about drawing on pizza peels. We chatted for a bit and he told me how he preferred drawing on basswood rather than pine, and that his only issue with pizza peels is that nobody made them out of basswood. So of course I said "I can make them out of basswood!" And so that's how I started making basswood pizza peels for folks to draw on. Below you'll find some of my favorites that I've made, both from basswood as well as other woods.
